The ECHOES project overall overview

The ECHOES project developed a digital platform to facilitate the exchange of expertise between healthcare universities across Europe. The platform allows healthcare professionals and educators to register their expertise and allows universities (and other organisations) to find the needed experts.

The research performed in WP2 investigated expertise gaps and how these can be addressed.
This research informed the design of the ECHOES platform in WP3.
The Online Actions in WP4 contain videos and tutorials to help experts use the platform.
The Events in WP5 disseminated the research results and the platform itself.

WP1 - Management

This WP covers all aspects of managing a European-funded project. Ensure a smooth management from a technical and financial perspective. This WP includes the following activities:

Bi-monthly online meetings (with one-to-one meetings in between)
Yearly steering meetings
Progress reports (financial and technical)
Internal communication strategies (email, shared contacts)
Shared cloud storage
Risk management
Conflict resolution procedures

WP2 - Research

The research WP2 is divided into two phases: an international survey and focus group interviews.

The survey phase included more than 200 participants who identified in which domains and skills they felt there was a larger gap in expertise. The domains included knowledge, practice, research, and teaching; the skills included hard, transversal, digital, and green skills.

The focus group interviews, which included twenty participants from across Europe, explored the reasons for the existing gaps and possible solutions.

WP3 - The ECHOES platform

This WP consists of the development of this website, including the expert registration platform and the video-conferencing facility.

All health-related professionals, academics and researchers can register their experience and expertise. This makes them visible to peers and organisations who may wish to invite them to participate in educational, research and other professional activities.

The platform will be supported by artificial intelligence (AI), helping experts register their areas of expertise based on a scan of their CV and helping the “searchers” find the best-match experts even if the keywords do not precisely match.

The platform will be tested by partners, associate partners, and external representatives before being widely available to the public. You will soon be able to register your expertise and search for experts.

WP4 - Online Actions

This WP includes six recorded videos and tutorials that help participants exploit the platform.

WP5 - Dissemination Events*

WP5 includes two multiplier events in Cyprus (2025) and Ireland (2026). These events will allow the consortium to disseminate the project’s results to stakeholders.
